Dental Implants

Dental Implants provide a means of replacing lost or damaged teeth without resorting to uncomfortable dentures or bridgework.

Generally, implants are posts made of a strong, biocompatible material which are placed into the jawbone to take the place of your missing tooth root. After a short healing period, the bone attaches itself to the implant (osseointegration), and a replacement tooth is secured to the top of the implant.

Dr John Harrison uses Innova implants which were developed in response to the need for a simpler, less invasive and biologically more compliant system. These implants employ an approach that has been used extensively for orthopaedic joint replacement fixation since the mid-1980s.
